The cavernous Great Hall is quite deserted at ten in the morning. Even closer to train boarding time, it was busy but not crowded. Most people chose to sit in the airport-style waiting room by the tracks, despite the fluorescent ambiance of the underground room. Pavlovian conditioning from the metal detectors which separate many airport boarding areas from the shops and facilities? Well, there are no metal detectors here.
