Stopping traffic in Illinois

After the inner suburbs come the outer suburbs, very residential, lots of condominiums and apartment blocks. They stop traffic for you when you're on a train, and about a dozen cars are stopped on this suburban street waiting for us to pass.
The skies are beginning to look ominously stormy. Trees always look unnaturally green against a stormy sky.
